AURO School of Hospitality

Auro School of Hospitality is committed to develop leaders, managers and entrepreneurs for the international hospitality industry. Curriculum has been designed to provide best available balance of hospitality skills and business acumen. All the labs are well with state of the art equipment and faculty resources have vast experience in hospitality operations, academics and research.

Learning takes place in spacious, centrally air-conditioned classrooms fitted with contemporary audio visual equipment. Pedagogy includes discussion and debate in an academic environment, where professors and students encourage each other to uncover new ideas and find creative solutions to challenging problems. At present students get real life exposure at the Taj Gateway Hotel Surat, University plans to get hotel within campus in a couple of years. Guest lectures from international industrial experts also help students to learn.

Influenced by Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy of integral education, pedagogy’s is focused for overall development of students that emphasizes on four principles aspects of the human being: Physical, Vital, Mental and Spiritual.

Students are provided with hospitality skills and related knowledge in their initial two years of study; they go for industry internship in third year and return to complete their final year. In addition to hospitality skills, students are provided in-depth knowledge of financial management, marketing, human resources, facility planning and event management that open a wide range of career options in the industry of hospitality and business upon graduation.

Internship plays an important role in grooming the students to face real work life challenges effectively. First batch of students were provided with paid internship in world-class properties of United States. Feedback from managers and promoters of the internship properties is very encouraging. Students returned from their internship into the academic environment with renewed energy, full of enthusiasm and willingness to update their knowledge on issues facing the industry.

The AURO campus is not just about academics but offers a transformative experience. The university encourages formal and informal social interaction. Students from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to interact with each other over various activities, which are aimed at bringing the AURO community together. Sports like cricket, soccer, basketball, table tennis and athletics; extra-curricular activities ranging from theater, music, art, quizzing, debates, and more provide students with multiple avenues to express their talents and to develop new interests which will last for a lifetime.
